A growing number of companies on Forbes & # 39; list of the best employers of Canada are calling to Mississauga. Forbes recently released its 2018 rankings of Canada’s Best Employers and 19 of the 300 largest employers have their headquarters in Mississauga. This was a significant increase over last year’s list, including 12 companies based in Mississauga.
Perhaps even more impressive is that two Mississauga companies have entered the top 20 list for 2018. Kruger Products, a manufacturer of paper goods such as towels and toilet paper and employs 2,166 people, was ranked second best employer across each of Canada. Microsoft, also with its head office in Mississauga and with 2,000 employees, was ranked as the 18 the best employer.
Forbes & # 39; Best Employer rankings are based on a survey of 8,000 employees in Canada. The surveys are conducted online in collaboration with the Statistica research agency and are limited to Canadians working for large companies and institutions (those with 500 or more employees). Employees are asked if they would recommend their employer on a scale of 0 to 10, 10 being the most positive. For example, employees gave the second place Kruger Products a score of 9.3.
